Job description

Location : Heathrow  |  Salary : Up to £48k DOE | Hours : 40 per week, Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00 (currently 07:30 – 16:00 with ½ hour lunch) | EMCOR UK is recruiting a permanent Technical Security Engineer for a Blue-Chip client in the Heathrow area. This role offers the opportunity to work in diverse environments with minimal travel, supporting mainly Heathrow with occasional support across the UK.

Work hours may include support on a 1-in-5 on-call basis for Heathrow and Gatwick, with most calls during normal hours. Callouts are paid at time-and-a-half, with a minimum of 4 hours or actual time including travel.

Role Overview :

Maintain and configure physical servers, design and test security solutions, and support CCTV, access control, and security systems. A strong background in CCTV & Access Control and enterprise systems is preferred.

Responsibilities :

1. Maintain servers and recording pools to high standards
2. Fault finding and system repairs
3. Design solutions and supervise preventative maintenance
4. Implement upgrades and modifications per contract
5. Communicate with supervisors and clients regarding KPIs and SLAs
6. Prepare reports and advise on improvements
7. Design, support, and quote in line with British Standards
8. Maintain strong client relationships
9. Ensure compliance with policies, safety, and quality standards
10. Complete risk assessments and ensure timely administration

Person Specification :

Ideal candidates will have strong CCTV & Access Control experience, knowledge of British Standards, advanced diagnostic skills, and LAN/WAN networking expertise. Health & Safety training, system design, and project experience are also desirable.

Additional Factors :

• Experience with CCTV, Intruder, Intercom, and Access Control systems
• Fault finding, cable containment, and calculations experience
• Good communication, team skills, and a valid driving license
• Proficiency in network and IP device management
• Organised, reliable, professional appearance, and adaptable
• Willingness to learn and flexible working hours
• HAL airside pass is advantageous
