Join our Plant Machinery Cleaning Team!

This role supports the Production department by ensuring machinery is cleaned to a high standard. No experience is required as full training will be provided. Appropriate clothing will also be supplied.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Level B cleaning duties including brushing floors, cleaning hoppers, feed boxes, weigh house, tail drums, and mixers
• Use vibration tools, scrapers, and hammers to clean machinery to high standards
• Ensure machinery is cleaned efficiently within production times, following safety procedures
• Access confined spaces such as hoppers and mixers as required
• Work at heights using safety harnesses and fall arrest systems
• Empty bins using a forklift (full training provided), ensuring bins are emptied at shift end
• Complete pre-shift forklift and OBBI checks via Tobermore Tablet
• Follow cleaning procedures and checklists, preparing for supervisor review
• Perform additional duties within your competence as required

Role Details

This physically demanding role involves:

• Repetitive manual handling and lifting
• Moving safely in confined spaces
• Climbing ladders and working at heights
• Using hand-arm vibration tools
• Wearing respiratory PPE for periods of 30 minutes
• Wearing PPE during cleaning shifts

Skills Needed

Improvement, managerial/operational skills, labor/construction experience.

Desired and Required Criteria

• 5 GCSEs including English & Maths (A-C)
• Full, clean driving license
• Experience in machinery, manufacturing, or industrial cleaning (preferred but not necessary as training is provided)
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ambitious, organized, self-motivated, and IT literate
