This role will assist the Production department by ensuring machinery is cleaned to a high standard. No experience is required as full training will be provided. Appropriate clothing will also be provided

Hess Plants - Monday to Friday 11.30am - 6.30pm (32.5 hours p/week)

In addition to any further duties which you may be reasonably required to perform from time to time, the following list constitutes the key tasks and duties of your post upon which your job performance will be assessed. Tasks are not listed in any particular order; therefore, the sequence in which they appear should not be interpreted as indicating priority or relative importance.
1. Level B cleaning duties will include cleaning concrete and will includeBrushing floors, Cleaning Hoppers, Feed boxes, weigh house, Tail Drums and mixers.
2. Cleaning to a high standard using a combination of vibration tools such as air and electric kangos, scrapers and hammers.
3. Ensure machines efficiently cleaned in line with Production times, following Company procedures and safety requirements. Ensure targets are achieved maintaining quality expectations.
4. Access and egress to confined spaces may be required such as hoppers and mixers.
5. May involve Working at height and the use of safety harness and fall arrest.
6. Emptying bins with the use of a Forklift (Full training will be provided). Ensure bins are emptied at the end of shift.
7. Accurately complete Pre-used Forklift checks and OBBI checks via Tobermore Tablet.
8. Accurately complete the Cleaning Procedure and checklist at the start and the end of shift and ensure they are ready for the Production Supervisor.
9. Carry out tasks as required and deemed within your competence by immediate Supervisor.
10. Strictly adhere to all Company procedures and do NOT take shortcuts.
11. Ensure cleaning and shovelling of weigh houses and tail drums are clear from waste material.
12. Actively promote continuous improvement within the workplace
13. Communicate and liaise with the next Shift Management in a shift changeover information.
14. Any other duties as required which are deemed within your competence.
Due to the nature of this role – it is physically demanding therefore it is important to be aware that the role entails the following elements:
· Frequent lifting of equipment throughout the shift
· Requirement to move safely in confined spaces.
· Safely climb ladders and work at Heights.
· Frequent use of hand arm vibration tools.
· The requirement to wear Respiratory Personal Equipment for 30 minutes at a time.
· The requirement to wear Personal protective gear during the cleaning shift.
