Job description

Job Title: Radiology Porter

Porters play a vital role in Radiology, assisting with patient transport and handling notes to and from the department for examinations or procedures. They are also responsible for waste removal from the department’s disposal areas, following the Trust’s Waste Disposal Policy.

We are seeking suitable candidates to join our existing team of radiology porters. The position involves working from 12pm to 8pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work as part of the Radiology Portering team to support the Portering Supervisor and Head of Portering in delivering efficient, high-quality portering services within the Radiology department.
2. Project a positive image of the department and Trust to patients, staff, and visitors.
3. Communicate effectively with all staff to resolve any issues promptly.

Contract Details:

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed-term contract basis for 6 months, as part of a limited-term project within the Trust. The contract’s status will be reviewed in accordance with legal obligations and project requirements. Please note that any secondments require prior approval from your current line manager.
