Job description

Liverpool Football Club is currently recruiting for a Senior Analyst to join our Digital team. You will be a hands-on problem solver and subject matter expert, providing second-line technical support and premium service to senior stakeholders.

This role acts as an escalation point for first-line support, requiring in-depth IT knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive, customer-focused approach.

What will you be doing?
  • Provide proactive and reactive support for IT hardware across all sites, including remote and on-site troubleshooting.
  • Fulfill service requests escalated from first line that require in-person execution.
  • Lead IT support during key LFC events, including match days.
  • Manage escalated issues end-to-end, ensuring clear stakeholder communication.
  • Collaborate with 1st and 3rd line teams on complex problems and incidents.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Perform regular maintenance to ensure maximum uptime of assets and a compliant estate.
  • Support the Service Desk Manager in delivering IT projects and rollouts.
  • Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with key stakeholders across all sites.
  • Contribute to IT security, compliance, audits, and documentation.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations for after-hours support as required.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to first line support analysts.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
Who are we looking for?
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, macOS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange, and networking protocols.
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced second line IT support role.
  • Proactive in identifying and implementing technical and process improvements.
  • Good understanding of cloud and on-premises networking infrastructure.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Analytical and methodical in diagnosing complex technical issues.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Experience handling IT security incidents and driving post-incident improvements.

This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week on a 5 out of 7 basis. The position is based at Anfield Stadium, with travel across all sites required.
