Job Title: Multi-Trade Operative

We are seeking a skilled Multi-Trade Operative to join our Repairs Team. You will perform routine and emergency repairs and maintenance work on GCH customers’ homes and commercial premises, adhering to work schedules, health and safety regulations, and our standards of customer service.

Responsibilities

1. Carry out repairs, maintenance, and installations related to roofing, structure, fabric of buildings, plumbing, carpentry, and wet trades.
2. Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding work progress and issues.
3. Complete jobs efficiently, aiming for first-time fixes to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or higher in a relevant trade/craft.
• Experience in applying multi-trade skills for installation, repair, and maintenance tasks.
• Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards related to workshop practice and maintenance.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload effectively.
• Problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
• (Desirable) Ability to interpret technical manuals, drawings, and instructions.
• (Desirable) IT literacy, including familiarity with electronic devices, PDAs, tablets, and computers.
