Multi-Trade Operative

Location: Weston-Super-Mare area

Salary: £34,376 - £36,185 per year

Hours: 40 hours per week

We are seeking a Multi-Trade Operative to join our team, covering various sites across Weston-Super-Mare. The role involves working as part of a team with some lone working. Duties include carpentry, painting and decorating, bricklaying, plumbing, and general maintenance, mainly in domestic void properties. A company van and power tools will be provided.

The base office is in Swindon; travel to this site and surrounding areas will be required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform construction, fault fixing, and maintenance duties according to contract specifications.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and restock as needed.
• Respond to complaints and breakdowns, resolving issues and keeping customers informed.
• Provide accurate updates on work progress in an understandable manner.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Qualified or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a relevant core subject (e.g., carpentry, electrical). Plumbing Level 3, Unvented - G3 Certificate, and Water Regulations (WRAS) are required if applicable. Original certificates must be presented during the interview.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and legislation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and plan ahead.
• Valid UK driving license required for driving company vehicle.
