Job Opportunity: Permanent Coachbuilder in Perth

Blue Arrow is recruiting for a Permanent Coachbuilder position in Perth.

Pay: £19.26 per hour

Location: Perth

Hours: 45 hours per week

Responsibilities:
  1. Observe, identify, and report bodywork defects or signs of potential failure.
  2. Perform vehicle manufacturer and company-specified modifications as required.
  3. Mark out, cut, and shape sheet metal, pillar sections, plywood, and fiberglass panels in preparation for vehicle fitting.
  4. Fit panels to vehicle body frames as needed.
  5. Repair accident-damaged vehicles by removing damaged panels and structural components, straightening where possible, and replacing parts as necessary.
  6. Conduct body repairs identified during vehicle inspections.
  7. Prepare vehicles for MOT testing.
  8. Carry out structural body repairs using welding equipment.
  9. Repair and refinish damaged paintwork, including full resprays and colour matching.
  10. Manufacture, repair, and maintain body fittings and accessories.
Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with a strong engineering background and experience with vehicles—whether buses, HGVs/LGVs, trucks, haulage, automotive, plant, rail, or agricultural equipment. If it moves, your experience counts! A commitment to high standards of engineering maintenance and repair is essential.
