About the Role:

Our expanding Environmental Team seeks an experienced professional with extensive expertise in the Energy and Renewables sector. The role involves managing environmental compliance and sustainability efforts related to Development Consent Orders (DCOs) for renewable energy projects such as wind and solar.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop client relationships with the Sector Director for Energy
• Drive business development to secure new opportunities
• Manage a team of EIA practitioners in project delivery
• Lead coordination, preparation, and submission of DCOs, Section 36, TCPA applications for renewable energy projects
• Collaborate with project managers, legal teams, and regulators to ensure compliance
• Monitor application progress and liaise with authorities
• Ensure projects meet environmental standards and regulations
• Prepare environmental reports, EIAs, HRAs, and other documentation
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainable practices
• Support the company's sustainability initiatives by identifying impact reduction opportunities
• Stay informed on emerging environmental policies and renewable technologies

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Qualifications:

• Degree in Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or related field
• Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., IEMA)
• Chartered status (Environmentalist or Scientist) preferred

Experience:

• Proven experience with DCOs and navigating regulatory frameworks in energy/infrastructure projects
• Experience working with government agencies and community engagement (preferred)

• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Collaborative approach and relationship-building skills
• Ability to lead and work effectively within a team
• Full UK driver’s license
