Job summary

Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts is recruiting an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join a maintenance team in Glasgow. The role focuses on day-to-day electrical and instrumentation maintenance, safety, and continuous operations at the site.

The successful candidate will have a time-served electrical apprenticeship with relevant qualifications, at least two years’ maintenance experience in a chemically related process plant, and strong fault-finding skills to support plant reliability

Qualifications

A time-served apprenticeship with electrical qualification.
Two years' maintenance experience in a chemical/process plant is preferred.
Electrical installations and instrumentation knowledge are essential.
Competence in fault-finding and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

Maintain and service electrical and instrumentation equipment across site.
Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair faults and defects.
Perform routine maintenance, testing and calibration of instrumentation.
Install, test and inspect electrical equipment with safety and reliability in mind.
Maintain records and support safety systems and PTW processes.
Support projects and coordinate with contractors and suppliers.
