Job summary

NRL Group is seeking an experienced E&I Technician to join the Grangemouth maintenance team. The role focuses on safe maintenance of all equipment, compliance with HSE standards, and timely remediation of work requests.

The ideal candidate will read P&IDs and electrical schematics, perform fault finding and support predictive maintenance to improve reliability. A strong emphasis on risk assessment, QA, and site safety is required. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• SVQ3 Electrical and Instrument & Control qualifications are required or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics and instrument loop drawings.
• Desirable HNCs and CompEx certifications enhance candidacy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe maintenance of all equipment, complying with HSE standards and Safety Charter.
• Carry out technical appraisal of new and emergent work requests to define remediation scope.
• Execute all work in line with permit-to-work systems, work packs and procedures.
• Perform fault finding, diagnose issues and identify cost-effective solutions.
• Support predictive and preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
• Conduct dynamic risk assessments before and during tasks.
• Complete QA documentation in line with work packs and procedures.
• Plan and schedule own preventive maintenance activities.
• Carry out condition monitoring on plant and equipment.
• Report delays or issues to the Supervisor to maximise productivity.
• Assess readiness of upcoming work scopes and resolve issues.
• Maintain housekeeping to keep areas safe and tidy.
• Inspect ATEX equipment in hazardous areas as per lifecycle requirements.
• Undertake basic rigging and lifting, including method statements and risk assessments.
