Job summary

SGN in Scotland is seeking a Project Engineer - Electrical & Instrumentation to join our Major Projects Team in Scotland. The role focuses on delivering major gas infrastructure projects from concept through commissioning, with hybrid working in Edinburgh.

You will work alongside experienced engineers and project managers, developing skills and progressing within SGN while ensuring safety, budget and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent with electrical/instrumentation focus.
• Experience delivering engineering and construction projects.
• Ability to manage scope, programme, cost and risk.
• Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems in industrial environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver major projects across lifecycle from concept to commissioning.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering disciplines, contractors and stakeholders.
• Support procurement, contractor management and construction activities.
• Monitor construction and commissioning to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare, review and coordinate technical documentation and project reports.
• Promote SGN's safety culture throughout the project lifecycle.
