Job summary

SGN is seeking a Project Engineer - Electrical & Instrumentation for Major Projects Scotland in Edinburgh. The role focuses on delivering major gas infrastructure projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring safety, programme, and budget compliance.

You will work with experienced engineers and project managers, supported by development opportunities and a strong safety culture. You will oversee project scope, cost and risk management, and coordinate interfaces across engineering

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound engineering decisions.
• Good organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Strong written skills and the ability to produce clear technical reports and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the delivery of major projects across the project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning.
• Support feasibility studies, option assessments, conceptual design and detailed engineering design activities.
• Manage project scope, programme, cost and risk to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering disciplines, contractors and stakeholders.
