Job summary

Bathroom Bubbles Ltd, a UK-based bathroom products wholesaler and distributor, is seeking a Financial Accountant to lead day-to-day finance operations across B2B and online marketplaces. You will manage high-volume transactions, multi-currency accounting, VAT/MTD compliance, and inventory costing, while partnering with senior management on budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.

The role involves reconciliations across Shopify, Amazon, and other platforms, plus system integrations

Qualifications

ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or AAT Level 4 with extensive relevant ecommerce experience.
4+ years in general accounting, with 1+ years in UK ecommerce, B2B, or multi-channel marketplaces.
UK VAT regulations, MTD compliance, PVA and cross-border tax knowledge.
Hands-on experience with Xero, QuickBooks Online, Brightpearl or NetSuite; Shopify Admin, Amazon Seller Central, and A2X.
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills for large CSV datasets.

Responsibilities

Revenue, payouts, platform fees, refunds and chargebacks reconciliations across Shopify, Amazon (UK/EU), eBay, Stripe, PayPal, etc.
UK VAT returns under MTD; manage PVA, duty deferment, customs charges, and cross-border reporting.
Calculate landed costs across multi-location warehouses; track inventory movements and monthly COGS.
Produce channel-by-channel P&L; analyse margins, returns, and ad spend efficiency.
Audit and maintain data integrations between sales channels and core accounting platforms.
Enforce internal controls, cash flow reporting, and governance.
Oversee supplier invoicing, price discrepancies, and claims with logistics partners.
Assist MD/FD with budgeting, forecasting, year-end accounts, and management packs.
