Job summary

Levy Merchandising is seeking a financially astute Financial Controller to lead core accounting processes, financial reporting and controls across B2C and B2A channels from its Manchester base. You will report to the Chief Financial & Growth Officer and shape commercial insight, forecasting and compliance for a growing sportswear business.

You will own the month-end close, budgeting and cash flow, partnering with senior leaders to drive profitability and scale.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ICAEW).
• Experience in a Financial Controller or senior financial accounting role.

Responsibilities

• Own the month‑end close and management accounts, with journals, reconciliations, accruals and analysis.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning with senior teams.
• Provide commercially focused financial insight and challenge to drive profitability.
• Assist cash flow forecasting, working capital management and statutory reporting.
• Oversee VAT, sales tax, audit and other compliance including EU VAT.
• Own inventory costing and control, improving stock visibility and profitability.
