Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Dynamics 365 Solution Architect to own the architecture, roadmap and delivery of the Dynamics 365 and Power Platform estate within the SMR division. You will lead technical decisions, translate complex requirements into practical designs, and partner with senior stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes.

• Deep, hands-on expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365, particularly Field Service.
• Proven experience leading architecture, platform strategy and large-scale implementations.

About The Role

Join the RAC as aDynamics 365 Solution Architect and shape the technology that powers every part of our Service, Maintenance and Repair (SMR) operation.

At the RAC, Microsoft Dynamics 365 sits at the heart of our Mobile Mechanics business. From CRM and bookings to job tracking, scheduling, operational workflows and customer service, our entire SMR operation depends on a reliable, scalable and innovative Dynamics platform.

We're looking for an experienced Dynamics PlatformLeadto take ownership of that platform. This is a critical leadership role where you'll define the roadmap, architecture and future direction of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, ensuring it continues to support a growing and evolving business.

Reporting to the Director of Product within RAC's Product & Technology division, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of one of our most business-critical platforms. Working alongside a team of Product Managers responsible for other areas of our digital ecosystem, you'll ensure the Dynamics platform evolves in line with wider business, customer and technology strategies

This is an opportunity for a true Dynamics expert to influence strategy, lead technical decisions, partner with senior stakeholders and drive meaningful change across one of the UK's most recognised brands.

This is a hybrid working role, 2 days a week in our Bristol office and 3 days a week working from home

What you'll do

• Own the architecture, design and roadmap for the RAC's Dynamics 365 and Power Platform estate within the SMR division.

• Act as the senior technical authority for Dynamics, ensuring the platform remains secure, scalable and aligned to business needs.

• Translate complex business requirements into robust, practical solution designs.

• Lead decisions around Dataverse architecture, data models, platform configuration and governance.

• Drive maximum value from native Dynamics 365 and Field Service capabilities, only extending where there is a clear business case.

• Build and manage the Dynamics change roadmap, balancing new demand, platform health and technical debt.

• Modernise development and deployment practices, introducing automation and strengthening release processes.

• Provide technical leadership, coaching and guidance to Dynamics engineers and wider technology teams.

• Define testing, quality and acceptance standards across all Dynamics changes.

• Build trusted relationships with senior leaders across the business, influencing decisions and helping shape future capability.

What you'll need

• Deep, hands-on expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365, particularly Dynamics 365 Field Service, alongside the wider Power Platform ecosystem.

• Proven experience leading Dynamics architecture, platform strategy and large-scale business-critical implementations.

• Strong knowledge of Dataverse, solution design, integrations, security models, ALM and deployment automation.

• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage, challenge and influence senior business and technology leaders.

• Experience leading technical teams and delivering change in a fast-paced, operationally critical environment.
