Job summary

VIQU IT Recruitment is partnering with a growing organisation undergoing a major digitalisation programme in Worcester, seeking a Dynamics 365 Business Central Administrator to own the BC environment and provide day-to-day administration and support.

The role offers the chance to develop AL extensions, work with a Microsoft partner, manage data and configurations, and train users across the business as the system evolves.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience administering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV.
• Strong knowledge of BC configuration, users, permissions, workflows and configuration packages.
• Experience managing data, imports, bulk updates and master data.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience supporting users and troubleshooting BC issues.
• A methodical approach to testing and documenting system changes.
• Genuine interest in Business Central development, ideally with some AL experience or evidence of learning.

Responsibilities

VIQU are partnering with a growing organisation undergoing a significant digitalisation programme, seeking Dynamics 365 Business Central Administrator to take ownership of their Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment. The role is primarily focused on administration and support, with the opportunity to develop AL development skills and take increasing technical ownership of the platform.

Key Responsibilities of the Dynamics 365 Business Central Administrator:

• Own the day-to-day administration and support of Business Central
• Manage users, permissions, licences and system configuration
• Maintain data quality, including imports, bulk updates and master data
• Manage BC environments, updates, extensions and AppSource applications
• Build and maintain reports, Excel layouts and system views
• Troubleshoot issues and manage change requests through to resolution
• Work with the external Microsoft partner on support and development requirements
• Support digitalisation projects, including improvements to manufacturing, batch management and traceability

Key Experience Required of the Dynamics 365 Business Central Administrator:

• Strong Excel skills

• Manufacturing, distribution or stock-holding experience would be highly beneficial
• Experience with item tracking, batch/lot control or warehousing would be advantageous
• Experience working with a Microsoft Dynamics partner would be beneficial
• Familiarity with Visual Studio Code, Git or BC report layouts would be advantageous
