Job summary

Howell's School, Llandaff, is seeking a qualified Welsh teacher for a full-time fixed-term role starting January 2027 for two terms. The successful applicant will deliver Welsh at Key Stage 3, GCSE and A level, and teach Years 5 and 6 in the Prep School, with high standards of planning, organisation and marking.

The post involves accompanying educational visits (including international trips), supporting sessions and clubs, and contributing to the department’s extra-curricular programme.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering Welsh at Key Stage 3, GCSE and A level.
• Proven track record of enabling learners to achieve high standards.
• Excellent behaviour management and positive student welfare focus.
• Proactive and innovative teaching with knowledge of recent developments.
• Supportive and inclusive approach to diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organise and assess Welsh lessons with high standards.
• Accompany educational visits including international and residential trips.
