Perfect Placement on behalf of our client, a reputable multi-franchise approved dealership in Bristol, seeks a highly motivated vehicle service advisor to join their busy service department. The role offers a starting salary from £29,741 with overtime, a substantial annual bonus potential, and career progression within a large multi-site group across South West England and South Wales.

Qualifications

• Recent or current experience as a service advisor or similar role within automotive retail is advantageous.
• Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills.
• Good organisational skills and IT literacy (Pinewood Pinnacle experience desirable).
• Basic mechanical understanding of vehicles.
• Ability to influence and upsell to customers.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and book vehicles into the service department for repairs and routine servicing.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle progress and required work.
• Liaise with the workshop team to chase work in progress and ensure timely completion.
• Upsell additional products and services where appropriate as the Service Advisor.
• Take payments for completed work.
• Build strong relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Advise customers on minor technical issues and explain repair processes clearly.
• Possible involvement with warranty authorisation and liaising with vehicle manufacturers (advantageous but not essential).
