Job summary

Pioneer Selection is recruiting a Transport Assistant to join the Sales & Transport team in Whitchurch, on a 12-month maternity cover basis. The role focuses on coordinating daily transport, handling orders, and ensuring on-time, cost-effective delivery to customers. Salary £35,000–£36,000, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm.

You will work with drivers, hauliers and internal teams to optimise routes, monitor stock, and update systems while maintaining strong customer communication.

Qualifications

• Computer literate with MS Office and spreadsheets.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders and manage daily sales plans.
• Arrange transport and coordinate with drivers and hauliers.
• Monitor stock and update systems and spreadsheets.
• Communicate sales or transport issues to relevant teams.
