Job summary

Caldershaw Primary School in Rochdale is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our supportive team. This permanent role (Term Time Only) offers 31.5 hours per week, with a salary in the TTO range and progression opportunities within Altus Education Partnership.

You will support learning across the classroom, work with teachers to deliver engaging activities, and help pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 2 qualification in Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
• Experience with children in educational setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and uphold safeguarding principles.
• Commitment to CARE values and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across the classroom.
• Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging learning activities.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Promote positive behaviour and inclusion for all children.
• Assist with monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
• Help create a safe, stimulating and welcoming learning environment.
• Support pupils with additional needs to access learning and achieve success.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and its community.
