Job summary

UCM Recruitment is seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils across EYFS to KS2 in partner schools across the UK. Roles available in mainstream and SEN settings, with start dates ASAP or from January 2027, across primary, SEN specialist schools, PRUs and alternative provisions.

You will work closely with teachers, SEN professionals, therapists and the school team, provide 1:1 or small-group support, and help develop communication, independence and emotional regulation in pupils.

Qualifications

• Candidates with SEN, school, nursery, PRU or alternative provision experience are highly desirable.
• Patience, proactivity, adaptability and a passion for supporting children's learning are essential.
• Team-Teach or similar SEN training is desirable but not essential and training may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with classroom activities and learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
• Provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils as required.
• Support pupils with additional needs including Autism, ADHD, MLD, SLD, PMLD and SEMH.
• Help pupils develop communication, independence, confidence and emotional regulation.
• Work closely with teachers, SEN professionals, therapists and other school staff.
