Job summary

Cedar Children’s Academy is seeking a Teaching Assistant on a fixed-term, one-year basis to provide teaching and learning support under the guidance of the class teacher. The role includes observing pupil progress, maintaining records, and assisting with interventions to help pupils progress.

You will supervise pupils during breaks and visits, promote positive behaviour, and contribute to a safe, inclusive classroom environment. A one-year fixed-term contract is offered.

Qualifications

• Provide teaching and learning support under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Observe and monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records.
• Assist in supervision of pupils and promote learning and safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils at break and lunch times and on educational visits.
• Promote positive behaviour and independent working among pupils.
• Document interventions and pupil progress to inform future planning.
