Qualifications

• Has experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within a school setting.
• Has a good understanding of how children learn and develop across the primary age range.
• Is committed to supporting children's learning, progress, wellbeing and personal development.
• Can support pupils with a range of learning needs, including those with SEND.
• Can build positive and professional relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
• Brings enthusiasm, patience, flexibility and a nurturing approach to the classroom.
• Works effectively as part of a team, whilst showing initiative and independence when needed.
• Can adapt their approach to support individual pupils, small groups and whole-class learning.
• Is committed to creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Is reflective, willing to learn and committed to their own professional development.

Responsibilities

• Support high-quality teaching and learning across the primary age range.
• Work alongside teachers and other staff to support learning activities.
• Assist in managing pupil behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
• Support pupils with diverse learning needs, including SEND, under teacher guidance.
• Contribute to collaboration with families and colleagues to monitor pupil progress.
