Job summary

RE Group is seeking an experienced Sous Chef for a varied Cheltenham hospitality role. The successful candidate will support the Head Chef across cafés, functions and events, delivering high-quality food with strong kitchen leadership.

The role requires driving licence, flexibility across venues and a 40-hour week on a rolling rota including evenings and weekends. Salary £32,000–£35,000 plus 28 days holiday and gym subsidy. Probation is six months.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie looking to progress.
• Excellent cooking skills with passion for high-quality food.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen management.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Lead and motivate the kitchen team while maintaining high standards.
• Assist with menu development and delivering food across venues and events.
• Manage stock, food costs and waste to keep the kitchen efficient.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and allergen standards are maintained.
