Job summary

TeacherActive in Stoke-on-Trent is looking for a qualified SEND Teacher to join an alternative provision from September. You will work with pupils across mixed ages, supporting SEMH and EBD needs with structure and positive engagement.

The role is full-time and long-term, with a competitive daily rate and dedicated support from consultants, CPD opportunities, and referrals. You will adapt lessons to individual needs and maintain strong classroom management.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching children with SEND.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and EBD.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching to individual needs.
• Resilient, patient and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Teach pupils across mixed age groups and adapt lessons to individual needs.
• Manage challenging behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Help pupils re-engage with education and stay on task.
• Collaborate with school staff to support progression and wellbeing.
