Job summary

Tradewind Education seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a large secondary academy in Doncaster. This full-time role is ongoing with an ASAP start, offering stability and the chance to support students daily.

As part of a supportive team, you will assist teachers, help pupils access the curriculum, and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment. Previous school experience preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above or equivalent.
• Experience working with children or young people preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience and ability to build relationships with students.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Support students in lessons across a range of subjects.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support as required.
• Help students access the curriculum and reach their potential.
• Support students with additional learning needs.
• Work with teachers to implement learning strategies.
• Encourage positive behaviour and participation.
• Monitor and report on student progress as appropriate.
• Support broader pastoral and academic needs.
• Maintain a positive inclusive learning environment.
• Follow academy safeguarding policies.
