Job summary

SCARF Life Education Wessex & Thames Valley seeks Educators to deliver wellbeing and PSHE workshops in primary schools across Dorset and Hampshire. The role covers term-time, 3 days per week, with a focus on engaging activities, including drama-based learning.

Training is intensive: a 10-week, full-time course near home, with a training grant of about £1,800 per month during training; an enhanced DBS check is required and a full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Primary-age teaching qualifications/experience (or equivalent), knowledge, and proven skills in Wellbeing and PSHE.
• Confidence and ability to work closely with teachers to ensure they fully embed our work within their wider provision.
• Awareness of/commitment to equal opportunities principles and practice.
• Flexible approach as days worked each week may vary.
• Ability and willingness to travel to schools primarily throughout Dorset and Hampshire at the times necessary, including early starts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver workshops and manage this work, travelling to schools throughout the region.
• Set-up and pack away LifeSpace (inflatable classroom).
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate SCARF resources into the school’s PSHE plans.
• Attend induction and ongoing training as required.
