Job summary

ANZUK Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support primary pupils at Yeovil. You will work with KS1/KS2 classes, including SEND and SEMH learners, to help them access learning and thrive in school.

You’ll assist teachers with lesson delivery, manage behaviour, and foster an inclusive classroom culture. A positive, proactive attitude and right to work in the UK are essential.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply through ANZUK
• Experience supporting primary-aged children in a school or childcare setting
• Understanding of SEND and how to adapt support to individual learning needs
• Right to work in the UK
• Positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for helping children succeed

Responsibilities

• Primary classroom support: Assist with lesson delivery across KS1 and KS2, helping pupils stay engaged and motivated
• SEND & SEMH support: Provide one-to-one or small-group support for pupils with additional needs
• Behaviour management: Use positive, age-appropriate strategies to maintain a calm and productive classroom
• Inclusive learning: Create a safe, welcoming space where every child feels valued
• Team collaboration: Work with teachers and support staff to ensure smooth daily routines
• School community involvement: Contribute to wider school life, events and initiatives
