Job summary

Monarch Education in Dudley is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to support one of our local primary schools. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday and offers a rewarding environment where you’ll help pupils achieve their academic and social potential.

You will work closely with teachers and SEND professionals, assist with lessons and classroom management, and contribute to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in educational or care settings.
• Enhanced DBS via Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Experience in a UK school or youth setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils in the classroom on a one-to-one or small-group basis.
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Helping to prepare learning resources and classroom activities.
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
• Promoting safeguarding and pupil wellbeing at all times.
