Qualifications

• Experience of working in a primary school setting, ideally with upper KS2 experience.
• Holds a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Confident in managing a class and delivering planned lessons in the absence of a teacher.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils’ learning and development in the classroom under the direction of the class teacher.
• Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and support progress.
• Assisting with the preparation of resources and learning materials.
• Delivering planned lessons and managing classroom behaviour as a Cover Supervisor when required.
• Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion in line with school policies.
• Supporting the social, emotional and behavioural needs of pupils.
