Job summary

New Directions Education Agency in Wales is seeking passionate Primary Teachers to work across local primary schools in Blaenau Gwent. We offer day-to-day supply, short-term and long-term placements to fit your availability and career goals.

As a Primary Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Curriculum for Wales, foster an inclusive classroom, support pupil progress and wellbeing, and work with teaching assistants and parents as needed.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Enthusiastic, adaptable and passionate about teaching.
• Ability to deliver engaging lessons and create a supportive learning environment.
• Committed to pupil learning, progress and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the Curriculum for Wales.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support pupils' academic progress, personal development and wellbeing.
• Manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive relationships.
• Assess pupils' learning and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, school staff and parents where appropriate.
• Maintain a safe learning environment and follow safeguarding procedures.
• Responsibilities may vary with school, year group and placement length.
