Job summary

Dewis CIL is seeking a friendly support worker to assist a young person in the Pontypridd area. The role involves accompanying him on social activities, helping with meals, and ensuring safety during outings, with 2:1 support as required.

You will need to be patient, reliable and physically active, able to drive with business-class insurance, and able to respect privacy in a home setting. The job includes DBS checks and monthly pay.

Qualifications

• Must be a driver with business class insurance to support social activities.
• Willingness to work 2:1 shifts for safety and outings.
• Able to provide personal care as required, including toilet assistance.
• Male preferred due to personal care needs.

Responsibilities

• Take part in social activities and outings with the service user.
• Support to go out, meals, visits to venues like pubs or trampoline parks.
• Encourage and prompt to stay on task.
• Assist with toileting and changing when out.
