Job summary

Shiplake College invites applications for a dynamic Teacher of Physical Education to cover a maternity leave from January 2027 (flexible start). The role spans Key Stages 3 and 4 and includes fixtures, co-curricular activities and boarding school responsibilities.

You will contribute to the ongoing success of PE and sport, engaging students of all abilities and promoting participation, enjoyment and achievement within lessons and beyond the classroom.

Qualifications

• Teach PE to KS3 and KS4 with clear progression routes.
• Deliver high-quality lessons in a boarding school setting.
• Contribute to fixtures, teams and the wider PE programme.

Responsibilities

• Teach Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Engage pupils of all abilities and promote participation.
• Support fixtures, coaching and extracurricular sports.
• Fulfil tutorial duties and boarding school commitments.
