Shiplake College, a dynamic co-educational independent boarding and day school near Henley-on-Thames, is seeking a passionate PE teacher to deliver curriculum across KS3-4. The role involves engaging students of all abilities and contributing to the school’s sporting programme.

As part of a supportive community, you will participate in fixtures, co-curricular activities and tutorial responsibilities, with opportunities to shape a thriving PE and sport culture at the College.

Responsibilities

• Teach PE across Key Stages 3 and 4 to a diverse year group, ensuring high standards of learning and engagement.
• Support fixtures, co-curricular activities, and the wider sporting programme as part of the college community.
• Contribute to tutorial responsibilities and the overall attainment and welfare of boarders and day pupils.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic educator to teach PE across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will engage and motivate students of all abilities, encouraging participation, enjoyment and achievement both within lessons and through the wider sporting programme.

Shiplake College is an independent boarding and day school for around 620 pupils aged 11 to 18. There has been a co-educational Sixth Form since 1998 and since September 2023 girls have been welcomed into Year 7 as the College became fully co-educational.
