Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a passionate Teacher of Sport & Fitness to support a Cardiff secondary school during maternity cover. You will deliver engaging PE lessons, inspire pupils to develop skills and confidence, and promote enjoyment of physical activity.

The role involves teaching across secondary year groups, with a focus on inclusive learning and collaboration with colleagues. QTS and an Enhanced DBS are required for this temporary position in South East Wales.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Experience teaching PE or Sport & Fitness in a secondary school.
• Enhanced DBS for Children (DBS Update Service) is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach Sport & Fitness and Physical Education across secondary year groups.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet pupils' learning needs.
• Encourage participation, teamwork and positive attitudes towards physical activity.
• Support pupils' progress and development across different key stages.
• Contribute to an inclusive learning environment and wider school life.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support teaching and learning.
