Job summary

The Kings School, a historic Cathedral School in Gloucester, seeks a dynamic PE teacher to coach netball and other major sports, and to deliver academic PE up to KS5. The role involves contributing to extra-curricular life and developing the subject alongside a committed sports department.

Applicants should have a degree related to sport, experience teaching KS3-5, and be willing to teach A-Level PE. A strong passion for sport and pupil development is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree related to Sport required or highly relevant experience.
• Experience teaching KS3-5 and delivering academic PE (A-Level) is essential.
• Willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities and school life.

Responsibilities

• First-class coaching of core sports (netball, rugby and/or cricket) from Year 4 to Year 13.
• Deliver academic PE teaching for GCSE and A-Level where appropriate.
• Promote safeguarding and welfare of students in line with school policies.
• Maintain and develop teaching resources and participate in department meetings.
• Support extra-curricular activities and school partnerships.
