Job summary

East Sussex County Council is recruiting for bank staff at Bonners Primary School to support nursery and wrap-around care. This casual, term-time only role covers planned or short-notice absences, helping maintain a safe, fun, high-quality environment for children.

You will help plan activities, prepare healthy snacks and meals where appropriate, and engage with children positively. Applicants must complete pre-employment checks including safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred but not necessary.
• Ability to engage and interact with children in a positive and supportive manner.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
