Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are assisting a secondary school in Wellingborough to appoint a dedicated Music Teacher with an immediate start. You will deliver engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4, covering performance, composition, theory and listening, making use of instruments and music technology.

You’ll support GCSE Music and enrichment activities, and help run clubs, ensembles and school productions, fostering creativity and confidence.

Qualifications

Must hold QTS/QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Proven ability to teach Music across KS3 and KS4.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Experience engaging a range of abilities in a secondary setting.

Responsibilities

Deliver well-structured and engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Teach a variety of areas including performance, composition, theory, and listening.
Make effective use of instruments, music technology, and practical activities.
Support students working towards GCSE Music and other assessments.
Encourage students to develop their musical skills, confidence, and creativity.
Contribute to clubs, ensembles, choirs, bands, concerts, and school productions.
Help organise performances and enrichment opportunities.
Establish a positive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to participate.
Work alongside colleagues to support student progress and develop the Music curriculum.
