Job summary

Are you a passionate Music Teacher who loves bringing music to life in the classroom?

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for creative, enthusiastic and inspiring Music Teachers to join secondary schools across the Gravesend area.

Location: Gravesend

Start: ASAP, with long-term opportunities available - full time and part time

Salary: £34,068 - £52,843 per annum, depending on experience

Contract: PAYE

The Role

As a Music Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to inspire students through both practical and theoretical music education. You'll be responsible for creating engaging lessons that encourage creativity, confidence and a genuine love of music.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging theory and practical Music lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching desirable.
• Creating innovative and inclusive lessons that challenge and inspire students of all abilities.
• Supporting and contributing to school concerts, recitals and musical events.
• Working collaboratively with the Music Department and wider school team.
• Attending departmental meetings and parents' evenings when required.
• Helping students develop their musical skills, confidence and passion for the subject.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from passionate Music Teachers who have:

• QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Previous experience teaching Music within an educational setting.
• A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
• The ability to engage and motivate students across a range of ages and abilities.
• A commitment to safeguarding and supporting young people.
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, or willingness to apply.
• Overseas Police Clearance where applicable.
• Professional references.
• A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, where possible.
• The legal right to work in the UK.
