Job summary

Protocol Education is currently recruiting for a Mathematics Teacher role at a thriving North Tyneside secondary school. The post involves delivering high-quality Maths lessons to KS3–KS4, planning engaging sessions and monitoring progress to raise attainment.

The ideal candidate has QTS or equivalent, a Mathematics degree and experience teaching at secondary level, with strong classroom management and relationships with students, parents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent requirement.
• Degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Commitment to raising attainment and improving outcomes.
• High expectations of behaviour and achievement.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons meeting diverse learner needs.
• Inspire students to gain confidence and enjoyment in Mathematics.
• Monitor, assess and track student progress effectively.
• Use data to inform teaching and raise attainment.
• Promote high standards of behaviour and engagement.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
• Contribute to the continued success of the Mathematics department.
