Job summary

Class Act is seeking Maths Teachers for flexible supply roles across various secondary schools. You will deliver pre-planned Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, maintain a positive classroom environment, and support continuity of learning across multiple schools.

Ideal candidates hold Qualified Teacher Status with experience teaching Maths in secondary settings, delivering strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Maths in a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering Maths lessons.
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Flexible, reliable and adaptable to supply teaching.
• Good communication skills and professional attitude.
• Willingness to work across different school environments.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned Maths lessons confidently across Key Stage 3 and, where required, Key Stage 4.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Follow school behaviour policies, routines, and safeguarding procedures.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of pupils with different abilities.
• Support pupils' understanding and progress in Maths.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure continuity of learning.
• Engage pupils and keep them focused throughout the school day.
• Provide clear feedback and handover notes for permanent staff.
• Represent Class Act professionally while working as a Maths Teacher.
