Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Maths Cover Teacher to join a welcoming middle school in Dorchester. You will deliver Maths lessons across Years 5 to 8 and occasionally cover Science to support a busy timetable.

The ideal candidate will have QTS or equivalent and strong maths teaching experience, with the ability to engage students and maintain high expectations in a middle school setting.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Maths to KS2/KS3.
• Ability to deliver across Years 5–8.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Flexible and proactive approach to teaching.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Maths lessons across Years 5 to 8.
• Provide occasional Science cover as required by the school.
• Follow lesson plans and keep pupils focused and engaged.
• Promote a positive and productive classroom environment.
• Support pupils of varying abilities to achieve their potential.
• Collaborate with staff to promote learning outcomes.
