Job summary

Shotton Mill Limited is seeking a Traffic Co-ordinator to join our Logistics team, coordinating over 200 HGV movements daily across a major manufacturing and distribution operation. You will be the first point of contact for drivers on site, managing arrivals, departures, loading and unloading, and ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role requires strong organisational skills, experience in logistics, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, transport, warehouse or distribution.
• Experience coordinating deliveries, collections, vehicle movements or transport activities.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Experience handling transport documentation and operational records.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Managing inbound and outbound vehicle movements across the site.
• Coordinating vehicle bookings through our Time Slot Management System.
• Conducting driver inductions and ensuring compliance with site safety procedures.
• Managing driver sign-in/sign-out processes and site access.
• Coordinating loading and unloading activities with Warehouse Operations, Chargehands, Control Tower teams and transport providers.
• Monitoring vehicle turnaround times and driver waiting times.
• Preparing and managing transport documentation and delivery paperwork.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the logistics operation.
• Delivering a professional and positive experience for drivers, customers and transport partners.
