Job summary

Booker Group plc is recruiting a Planning Administrator to support our Best Food Logistics planning team. You will help ensure accurate planning data, assist with new customer openings and respond to driver queries, providing vital admin support across the planning function.

You will work in a fast-paced logistics environment, handling data extraction, system data maintenance and cross‑department liaison. The role involves occasional travel and light warehouse duties.

Qualifications

• Evidence of providing administrative support to internal contacts.
• Experience in a fast moving transport or logistics environment.
• Result oriented with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent computer literacy with strong communication skills (verbal & written).
• Proficient in MS Excel & MS Word; able to discuss skills confidently.
• Willingness to travel to other locations and occasional warehouse work if required.

Responsibilities

• Control the flow of information between Planning and National Account Management teams.
• Manage New Customer openings (NSOs) from a route planning perspective.
• Support the driver Route Request process by handling queries and reporting findings.
• Assist with capturing and maintaining key data used in route planning from various systems.
• Administer Delivery Point Risk Assessments for customer delivery locations.
• Manage Customer locations and related data on Microlise.
• Extract and store data from planning systems.
• Liaise with internal departments as required.
• Provide day-to-day Planning Team support including phone coverage.
