Qualifications

QTS, QTLS, or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Humanities subjects in secondary schools.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexible and professional approach; safeguarding commitment.
An enhanced DBS via Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with KS5 opportunities.
Plan, prepare and assess learning for longer-term assignments.
Adapt teaching to meet varied learner needs and promote inclusion.
Create a positive classroom environment that supports achievement and wellbeing.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to students.
Collaborate with staff and school leaders to support student success.
Contribute to the wider school community where appropriate.
