Job summary

Tradewind Education are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English to join a welcoming secondary school in Sheffield, starting ASAP.

You will plan and deliver engaging English lessons, assess and provide feedback, and promote high standards of literacy while managing a positive classroom environment. QTS or equivalent is required, with experience teaching English at secondary level and strong knowledge in Language and Literature.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification required.
• Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of English Language and Literature.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the school curriculum.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Promote high standards of literacy, communication and English.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Maintain accurate records of assessment and student progress.
• Attend departmental and school meetings as required.
• Follow safeguarding, behaviour and health & safety procedures.
