Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced English Teacher for a full-time position in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. You will teach KS3 and KS4 English, with planning, assessment and pastoral responsibilities in a supportive secondary school environment.

Responsibilities include planning engaging lessons, preparing pupils for GCSEs, assessing progress and providing constructive feedback. You will collaborate with colleagues while upholding safeguarding and school policies.

Qualifications

• Strong English knowledge and ability to teach KS3/KS4 effectively.
• Proven experience delivering secondary English lessons and GCSE preparation.
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour strategies.
• Strong understanding of assessment practices and tracking pupil progress.
• Commitment to safeguarding and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach the English curriculum in line with departmental expectations.
• Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations where applicable.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress.
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to pupils and parents.
• Adapt teaching to support different abilities and learning needs.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
• Contribute to departmental planning and development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school.
• Communicate effectively with pupils, parents and other professionals.
• Follow safeguarding, attendance and school policies.
