Job summary

Randstad Education is actively placing qualified English Teachers into vibrant secondary schools and academies across Liverpool. We offer roles spanning English Literature and GCSE English Language to suit your preferences.

Requirements include QTS/QTLS status, a degree in English, and enhanced DBS on Update Service. You will design and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and collaborate with departments to support literacy initiatives.

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS status required or eligible (ECTs/NQTs welcomed).
• Degree in English Language, English Literature, or related subject area.
• Demonstrated experience delivering the UK Secondary English Curriculum.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to process one).

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Assess and provide feedback to support student progression.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and high standards of behaviour.
• Prepare students for GCSE exams with core analytical skills and exam techniques.
• Collaborate with English departments to align with school schemes of work.
