Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking an ambitious English Teacher for a temporary fixed-term role in a high-performing English Department, with an immediate start or next term. Salary is scale-matched (£140 - £233 per day) paid to scale, with weekly pay and strong commitment to CPD and progression pathways.

You will teach KS3–KS4, plan aligned with the National Curriculum and GCSE English, use data to raise attainment, maintain an inclusive classroom, and act as Form Tutor to support student wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Degree in English or related field.
• Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons to KS3 and KS4 aligned with National Curriculum and GCSE English specifications.
• Use assessment data to drive progress and close attainment gaps.
• Maintain an inclusive, focused classroom with effective behaviour management.
• Act as Form Tutor supporting student wellbeing.
